Who are we?
Cincinnati HELP is a support group for people who have herpes simplex, and those who have questions and concerns about herpes simplex. We offer support and information:
Cincinnati HELP is affiliated with the Herpes Resource Center of the American Social Health Association (ASHA).
The ASHA Web site contains a wealth of excellent information about herpes simplex.
ASHA also operates the National Herpes Hotline: call (919) 361-8488, Mondays through Fridays between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Eastern time.

A Virus Named Herpes Simplex
In our experience, people newly diagnosed with herpes simplex often know little about it. Or they may have heard more misinformation than truth about the virus. At our support meetings, we regularly answer the following questions about herpes. So, here are the questions and the answers.
What is herpes simplex? |
| Who can get it? |
| How do I know if it's herpes? |
| Who will want me? |
| How do I tell? |
| Will my partner get it? |
You do not have to be a member of our HELP Chapter to be welcome at our meetings. We encourage you to attend as often as you like. Meetings are free and open to everyone seeking information and support about herpes simplex. They are also confidential. Most of our meetings are open group discussion, although occasionally we have a physician or other guest speaker. At meetings, we also have a library of herpes literature available, including pamphlets, brochures, and articles. Anyone who attends the meeting is welcome to take a free copy of any of this literature.

Our meetings are held at the
Ambrose H. Clement Health Center
(Cincinnati Health Department)

(at the corner of Burnet and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive)
